Click to Begin is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to educating and empowering children to break the cycle that is associated with lack of access to current computer and Internet technology. Our goal is to start by supplying college-bound high school seniors with laptops. Soon after, our plan is to grow the laptop program while we continue to develop a program to supply children in need with computers and software. By doing this, our hope is to improve their education, raise academic standards and and help prepare them for a successful future.
Unlike other organizations that refurbish used computers, our mission is to provide new computers and current software that we obtain at a discount and through key partnerships. By supplying new computers, we lower the time and costs for setup and support, and ensure that the systems will not be obsolete.
Currently we are focusing our efforts on communities in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Our future plans are to expand the program into other communities in Connecticut and New York.
