How can I help? It's simple! You can either make a donation, sponsor a student or by volunteering your time.
How do you select recipients of computers? Our selection process involves ensuring whether or not the university or college the student will attend has a free laptop program; we will work hard to make sure our applicants get one if the school does not offer a free computer. Overall, the students who show the greatest need, and the most unique personalities will be selected.
Do you accept computer donations? Yes, we do. Click to Begin accepts lots of 5 or more similar desktop or laptop computers, as long as they're the same make and model. Through our existing partnerships, we'll ensure the computers are reformatted and placed in the hands of students and families that can use them.
I am a high school senior, but I don't live in Bridgeport, CT. Can I participate? Absolutely! While our program is focusing on the Bridgeport, CT community, we are not limiting current applicants to the city. In fact, our goal is to gain enough support from our initial program that we'll be able to expand to multiple cities by the fall.
Do you have other programs besides the "Click to Succeed" laptop award program? We're working on it. Our goal is to grow the laptop award program and introduce our second program where we'll place computers bundled with software in homes, schools and community centers.
